Congratulations! You just made the most important decision in your life. You are precious to the Father. The Bible said in Luke 15:10 “in the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents”.
Your acceptance of the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior caused an angelic celebration in heaven! Imagine all the angels had to stop what they were doing to celebrate your coming into the family of God. Amazing! Welcome to God’s family!
Ephesians 1:13 says, “when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit”. The Holy Spirit is referred to as the “seal” in the hearts of the believers. It is His claim on us as His very own. And no one can break the seal of God.
The Holy Spirit is given to us as an assurance that our full inheritance as children of God will be delivered. He is God’s gift to every believer.
1 John 3:1 says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God”. And this father-son relationship is permanent like your relationship with your earthly father. You gain direct access to God. You can talk to Him directly in prayer, like a son talking to his earthly father. God wants your total honesty.
And nothing can separate you from His love. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.(Romans 8:38-39)
Hebrews 10:10, 14, 17, 18 says, “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all… For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy… And their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice is no longer necessary”.
In the Old Testament, God required a spotless lamb be offered every day as a “guilt offering”. Jesus fulfilled that prophecy and satisfied God’s holy and perfect requirements once and for all. His sacrifice covered all your sins. Past, present and future. Every sin was blotted out the moment you believe. God sees Christs’ righteousness in you now that you believed in His Son. You are now covered by Jesus’ blood.
1 Peter 2:2-3 says, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good”. Get to know the One who loved you and chose you to be His own.
